Mrs. Mazzota was born in Roosevelt, New York to the late William Duryea and Gladys Frielingsdorf Duryea. She was a high school graduate of Hempstead High School. She moved to Jupiter, Florida in 1981 with her loving husband Vincent Mazzota, Sr., who passed away on December 7, 2014. They had been married for fifty-nine years. Mrs. Mazzota enjoyed poetry and was a lifetime member of Florida Sheriffs Association.
Survivors include her three sons; Bud, Jason, Walter and their spouses, children and great grandchildren. She is also survived by her older brother; Bill Duryea and younger sister; Hope Doetzer and their families.
A memorial gathering will be held on November 17, 2018 at 4:00 pm at Aycock-Riverside, 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter, Florida, 33458.
