Feriel Gay Hughes (Yager) was born April 4, 1949 to Hugh John and Katherine Yager in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. She died on January 31, 2014 after a courageous battle with leukemia. Viewing and visitation will be on Friday, February 7th from 6 to 8 p.m., with a Memorial Service immediately following. Arrangements are being handled by Aycock Funeral Home, 1112 N. Military Trail, Jupiter, Florida.
Feriel held a Bachelor’s Degree from Western Michigan University and a Master’s Degree from Oakland University. She excelled in each of her chosen fields of endeavor, as a teacher and administrator for the Beecher Community Schools in Flint, Michigan, and as a human resource professional in the banking industry in South Florida. Feriel leaves behind her mother, Katherine Yager, and beloved children, Adam Christopher Hughes and Katherine Hughes Stern (Paul). She was predeceased by a brother, Jerry.
