87, of Palm Beach Gardens, formerly of Chicago, IL passed away on September 15, 2012.
Gene owned and operated McAllister Equiptment Company in Alsip, Illinois for 50 years. He worked hard most of his life and enjoyed spending his free time playing golf at the Old Marsh Golf Club. He enjoyed fishing at his lake home in Iron River, Wisconsin.
Mr. Harris is survived by his wife Anne “Pat” Harris of 16 years; Sons Craig (Debbie) Harris and Scott (Dee) Harris; Stepson James Crowley; 9 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren, and 4 Step Grandchildren. Preceded in death by his first wife Lucille Harris in 1994 and his brother Robert Harris in 1998.
A visitation will be held on both Wednesday, September 19th and Thursday, September 20th from 5-8 PM, Aycock-Riverside Funeral and Cremation Center, 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, September 21st at 11 AM, Our Lady of Florida Spiritual Center, 1300 US Highway 1, North Palm Beach. A Memorial Mass will be held in Illinois at a later date.
