

Gloria Gaudet (McIntosh) of Jupiter, Florida, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2017 after a lengthy illness. She was born to the late James and Helen McIntosh, first generation Scots, on February 19, 1940. She was raised in Astoria, New York and prided herself in her Scottish heritage. Her parents and older sister, Helen Wodicka preceded her.
Gloria began her career as a paralegal in New York City. She met and married Joseph Edward Gaudet, Jr. in 1959. They had two sons, Joseph E. Gaudet, III (Christina) and Robert S. Gaudet (Diane), both from Jupiter, Florida.
Gloria was a fixture in Bucks County, PA youth sports, Holy Ghost Prep Mothers Guild and a variety of charities and organizations. Upon the birth of their grandchildren, Joe and Gloria moved to Jupiter, Florida to be closer to family.
Family was Gloria’s passion and delight. Although gone from this earth Gloria’s (Yaya as she was affectionately known), goodness is evident through her three grandchildren. Joseph E. Gaudet, IV, of New York, NY, Gabrielle Gaudet of Charlottesville, VA, and Natalie Gaudet of Tequesta, Florida.
Anyone who has met Gloria probably did so at the Football/Lacrosse/Soccer Athletic fields or at a dance/piano recital. Yaya strived to be the best grandmother ever.
Gloria is survived by her husband Joe, her two sons, their wives and three grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, James McIntosh (Carolyn) from Richboro, PA., three nephews and a niece.
The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her last illness.
A service in Gloria’s honor will be held on Friday, November 17 at 11:00 am at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church. Inurnment will follow at Riverside Memorial Park followed by a local reception.
