Ian Roger Burns

Ian Roger Burns, 20 years old, passed away October 21. Born in West Palm Beach, FL on October 5th, 1997. Ian graduated in 2016 from the dual Math, Science, and Engineering and Advanced Placement Capstone programs at Suncoast Community High School in Riviera Beach, FL.

He was in his second year at the University of Florida, studying Music and Mechanical Engineering. Ian was heavily involved in many different organizations during his life- the Boy Scouts of America, St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, and the Suncoast High School Chorus and Musical Theatre. With these organizations, he became an Eagle Scout, was a lector, sang in the choir, and was the lead in multiple musicals- most recently The Baker in the 2016 Suncoast production of Into the Woods.

Ian is survived by his parents, Rick and Monique, and his sisters, Caitlin and Devin. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ian’s name to the St. Mark’s Episcopal Church Choir Fund.

Visitation with the family will begin on Friday, October 27, 2017 from 4:30 pm until 8:30 pm at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 3395 Burns Road, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida 33410. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October, 28, 2017 at Noon at St. Mark’s.
