Irene brought so many gifts to our life.  I will never forget her.  

"Friends are the pillars on your porch.  Sometimes they lean on you, and sometimes it's just enough to know that they are standing by"

Rene, I think of you everyday and still cannot believe you are gone. I miss you so much, especially your motherly advice and how you could make me laugh in spite of a dire situation. I hope and pray that you are resting in peace among the angels. You will never be forgotten.

Irene will be missed by her Human Resource friends.  I worked with her at Cypress Community Hospital.  She always had a kind word for everyone who came to her seeking advice.  She will be missed by all.  My condolences to her sons and her brother.

I will always remember Irene as the most pleasant and gentle lady, the hug that she gave me just a few weeks ago…

I worked with Irene when she was the Personnel Director at Pinecrest Rehab Hospital and rushing off to the Bingo Hall to get subsidized tuition for her boys at the Catholic School.  ... Such a lovely, lovely, and witty lady!  The slide show you boys put together is awesome!  No wonder she was always so proud of you!!

I haven't seen Irene in many years. We worked together in Health Care many years ago. I heard of her illness and called her a few weeks ago. It was like no time had lapsed as we chatted. She was always a friend to lean on, someone you could call and talk with. I'm so sorry for your loss. May she rest in peace. Amen-

I had the pleasure of working with Irene for 7 years at Mahoney and Associates in Ft Lauderdale, she was my friend, my ally and mentor in many ways, not just professionally. Irene was all about doing the right thing, she had a moral compass that in today's world is sorely missed. Her work ethic was beyond reproach, never missed a day unless she was unable to get out of bed, and trust me this lady was punctual too, but what most struck me about working with Irene was her patience and compassion for the employees she had as her clients. She would listen attentively as they described their problems, always respectful and never condescending, she took their problems seriously and worked hard on their behalf to help them. We would sometimes joke how she could be on a call for an hour just talking with them trying to resolve their issue and many of them would come to her before they would go to their own HR Dept., she was exceptional. 

For Irene family was everything, she cherished her family and would often tell us stories of how proud she was of her sons and of her Dad and Mom and brother. She instilled in her sons the same values her Mom and Dad instilled in her, a strong moral fabric that stood lifes' trials and tribulations.

I went through a lot of loss while working with Irene, my dear brother passed, I lost my best friend, and step father and father in a matter of 3 years... I went through a divorce and then married again which lasted only a year....Irene was always there to show me support, she counseled me, never judged me, and told me to get some help and if I needed her to just call. She was true to her word and when things got bad I could count on my friend. She was a beautiful soul and I will miss her greatly. 

God bless her and her family. She was a shining light of compassion and strength.  I'm sure she's up there now skating in her favorite skating costume...something she spoke of often when recounting her happy childhood.
