Dr. Franks was born on December 25, 1944 in St. Paul, Minnesota to the late William Matthew Franks and Luella Klinkhammer Franks. He attended the University of Medicine & Biosciences, Kansas City, Missouri where he received his D.O. degree. He was the owner of James W. Franks D.O.P.A for thirty-two years. Dr. held several patents and enjoyed reading, football, racing, AOCD and AAD organizations.
Survivors include his wife; Mary Ann Franks, daughter; Julie Ann Franks, sons; James, Michael and Andrew Franks, grandchildren, Anthony and Matthew Franks, sisters; Judith and Jean, brother; Bill also a host of loving nieces and nephew.
Visitation with the family will begin on Monday, February 12, 2018 at Aycock-Riverside Funeral & Cremation, 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter, Florida, 33458 from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm with a service to follow at 7:00 pm. Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 1:15 pm at South Florida National Cemetery.
