Jim passed away on February 2, 2015. He fought a hard battle and he now gets the peace he so richly deserves. He served proudly in the US Army, stationed in France. Jim retired from management with the United Parcel Service.
Jim was a devoted husband and leaves behind his wife Kathy. He was a great dad and leaves behind his Children Tescha Thompson and Tom Johnson of Palm Beach County, Florida, Kim Pierson of North Carolina and Wes Grubaugh, Jr. of Georgia. But mostly, Jim “Rocked the Boat” as a Granddad. The very special grandchildren he leaves behind are Cruz Ayala (The Sportsman, Cross Ayala (The Actor), Alyssa Ayala, Jimmy Lee Grubaugh, Taylor Johnson and Logan Johnson. Granddad will live in their hearts forever.
Cremation is being handled by Aycock-Riverside Funeral Home in Jupiter. A memorial service will be held at Jupiter Civic Center located at Carlin Park Beach in Jupiter on Monday, February 9th at 5:00 PM. Please dress casually. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Safe Harbor Animal Shelter in Jupiter, Florida.
