Jimmy grew up in Richmond Heights, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland.
While in high school he was in the Richmond Heights Sports Hall of Fame for football and wrestling. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Miami University on a wrestling scholarship, where he played football and then was a member of the college wrestling team.
He built a long and respected career with Parker Hannifin, serving as Service Center Manager in Atlanta and later in Jupiter, Florida, as a CTM Connector Territory Manager. Throughout his career, he developed lifelong friendships with colleagues across the country. For over 30 years, he and a close group of friends gathered annually in Islamorada for deep-sea fishing trips, creating bonds that lasted a lifetime.
Jimmy had a lifelong love of sports., a passion for music and enjoyed photographing his travels with Carly and his family. After retirement, he spent summers in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho- a place very dear to his heart. There he enjoyed pickleball, biking, kayaking, and gardening. He especially loved sharing that special place with his children and grandchildren. Jimmy's favorite place to be was on his front porch with his dog where he made friends with neighbors passing by. He was a genuinely friendly and happy man who was loved by everyone who knew him.
Carly was so lucky to have Jimmy as her cheerleader, a nurturer and always making her feel beautiful and special.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth and James Sheehan.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Carly, who lovingly called him her "Main Man"; his stepson, Nicholas Moskowitz (Annie) of North Palm Beach, Florida; his stepdaughter, Shannon Moskowitz (Aldo) of North Palm Beach, Florida; his cherished grandchildren, Charlie, Zoe, Whitney, and Yonder and his sisters, Sue Jacobs (Daryl) and Cindy Greene (Dennis).
No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jimmy's memory to Trustbridge Hospice.
