

James (Jim) H. Whittemore, father of two and grandfather of one, passed away on January 23, 2020 at the age of 80. He was born in Royal Oak, Michigan on July 15, 1939; son of the late James and Gladys Whittemore.
He married Juliet M. Dotson on February 9, 1968 and together they shared 51 years of marriage. Jim was a tool and die mechanist at Chevrolet before moving to Florida in 1973. He accomplished the tile setting trade and retired as a printing press builder from blueprints from IME Inc.
Jim is a car enthusiast from street racing, muscle cars in the sixties to making his vehicles run and look perfect to becoming a NASCAR fan. He also enjoyed camping and bicycling, but loved keeping his house, yard and cars immaculate. He also had a knack for fixing anything. His grandson is truly the apple of his eye!
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a brother, Thomas; his father in law, Robert H. Dotson and mother in law, Marjorie Dotson.
He is survived by his wife, Juliet M. Whittemore; a daughter, Joy R. Whittemore; a son, Jay C. Whittemore, his only grandchild, Clarke R. Whittemore; daughter in law, Kathy Whittemore; a sister in law, Camille Powers and two nieces, Rochelle Powers and Gina Cella and two nephews, Jon Powers and David Whittemore.
Memorial donations in James name may be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County.
