Jane Spiering

Jane Spiering, of Tequesta, FL and formerly of Waupun, WI and Fond du Lac, WI died peacefully and went to be with Jesus, her Lord and Savior, on the morning of Sunday, March 2, 2025. She was 86 years old.

Jane was born in Waupun, Wisconsin, where she grew up on a farm. She graduated from Waupun High School. Jane was proud of her Dutch heritage to the end. After high school Jane worked at North Central Airline as a Ticket Agent and travelled many places throughout the U.S. and the world. She met Gary, and they were married in 1965, and settled in Fond du Lac, WI for 35+ years where they were longtime members of Grace Reformed Church. After Gary’s retirement, they moved to Tequesta, FL to enjoy the warm weather and be close to Angela, Alan, Savanna and Olivia.

Jane’s greatest joy was spending time with family and friends. She loved the church, serving alongside others, helping others in need and learning God’s Word – especially in the heart-to-heart ladies’ bible study. She was an avid walker and greatly enjoyed going to the ocean and soaking in the sound of the waves. She loved tending to her flowers and gardening. She had many dear friends and family members and made a priority of staying in touch with them. She will be remembered by those close to her for her steadfast devotion to Christ. She will be missed.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years, Gary Spiering; her father and mother, Jacob and Jennie (Hull) Harmsen; three brothers, Wesley Harmsen, Gerald Harmsen and David Harmsen; four sister-in-laws, Hilma Jean, Fritzi, Lorna and Sharon and a son-in-law, Alan Hisey.

She is survived by her son, Paul Spiering of Tequesta, FL; daughters, Jennifer Lindbloom (Michael) of Fishers, IN and Angela Hisey of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; her four cherished grandchildren, Emily Lindbloom, Joshua Lindbloom, Savanna Hisey, Olivia Hisey, and her brother, Ken Harmsen of Fox Lake, WI.

A Memorial Service in her honor is scheduled at Grace Immanuel Bible Church in Jupiter, FL at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday March 22, 2025 followed by a reception/luncheon.
