

She graduated from Apollo High School in 1959 and went on to become an Executive Assistant at Westinghouse and ultimately to her finest role, wife and mother. Marlane was a friendly, giving, and loving woman.
She married Gene, the love of her life, in 1969. They had two beautiful children, and this was the area where Marlane thrived. Her dedication and adoration for family was evident and carried over into her life. She was a doting wife and mother, cook, and hostess. She was welcoming and kind and never afraid to strike up a conversation with a stranger. Marlane walked five miles daily on the soft sands of Siesta Key, Florida, enjoyed the opera, and owned her own company, Mimi’s Pet and Pad, a pet-sitting business.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years as of August 3, 2024, Gene Lombardi who passed away on June 30, 2024 in addition to her sister, Linda Stroup Barbish who left this world December 26, 2016 (Paul).
Marlane is survived by her brother, John Stroup (Theresa) of PA; her son, Christopher Lombardi (Kris) of KY; daughter, Tara Rooney (Thomas) of FL and their sons, Tommy, Sean, and Seamus; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and even some fur babies.
Friends and family will be welcomed on Saturday, August 10, 2024 from 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm at Aycock- Riverside Funeral and Cremation Center, 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter, FL 33458. A prayer service will be held at 4:30pm. The family appreciates all the outpouring of support and fond memories.
