I am deeply saddened on behalf of the Cammarata family to inform you about the passing of our beloved wife, mother, and friend, Marcia Constance Cammarata. While this is a difficult and unexpected time for us all, we take comfort that in her last moments that she fought to the very end.

At the same time, we are cherished to look back on her 77 years at the impact she had on all of our loved ones.

A wonderful person who would do anything for anyone and who was the shining light who guided the Cammaratas—and all of us as individuals.

But knowing her as you all did, we as a family know that she wouldn’t want us sitting around grieving but rather celebrating the wonderful life she led and thus, we will never forget Marcia Constance Cammarata.

You had a way of making people feel welcome and loved with just a few words. Our interactions were brief, but your strength, confidence, and resounding reason cannot be forgotten.

Bernie, Rich and Michael, I am so terribly sorry for your loss of such a commendable wife and mother. Michael, I know how incredibly close you always were, she was always there for and with you, providing advice and support to guide you through life. You are a reflection of your mother, and she will live on within you through the values, wisdom and strength that she instilled.

You are deeply missed Marcia, I feel privileged to have known you, and will always admire your ability lift those around you.

Linda and i remember Marcia with such fondness and admiration. She was a pistol, full of life, full of laughter, smart and fun to be with. Marcia was very competent, totally devoted to family, and so vibrant. We were lucky to know Marcia, and we miss her.

Our hearts go out to Bernie and everyone in the family.

Marcia was a wonderful friend. The girls and I were so saddened to hear of her passing. I fondly remember the fun times we had with our families. We enjoyed sailing and swimming on Long Island Sound. Marcia and I shared many happy times car pooling our kids to EastWoods School in Oyster Bay. The lunches and dinners we enjoyed together. Marcia and I would always work on school fairs together. She was a wonderful artist . I enjoyed keeping in touch with her by phone after the Cammarata’s moved to Florida. We enjoyed talking about our families and updating each other on what was happening. Marcia you will be missed by the Youngquist Family.
Bernie, Rich, and Michael we send our deepest condolences. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers .

Love, Ruth Youngquist

Dear the Cammarata Family,
My deepest condolences for your loss.
Over the last few years that I have gotten to know Marcia I have had the privilege to spend time her and come to know the kind and caring soul that she was. Marcia would always try to help me out with everything and anything that she could to make me feel comfortable and at home in the US. While I was not family she made me feel like I was.
She will be missed dearly and I would like to send my best wishes to the rest of the family in this difficult time.

Dear Bernie and Sons, Rich and I are so sad for the loss of your much loved wife and mother. Marcia was a unique person, with such an interesting and full life that we all enjoyed hearing about when we shared our backgrounds at our neighborhood driveway meetings. I will always treasure her book Personality Predictors that she signed for me some years back. She loved you all so much, you were her most treasured possessions. Marcia will be missed, and we are sorry this past year deprived many from enjoying her presence...but her presence will always be felt by those who loved her. God Bless the Cammarata Family at his sad time. Love, Rich and Becky

I am so grateful to have shared so many years with you as our neighbor and a friend. I will always treasure our driveway dweller times. So many nights spent cussing and discussing just about every topic one can imagine. Heaven has gained a beautiful and amazingly smart angel. I have no doubt you will always be looking down over Burney and the boys along with sending signs that you are there and watching to help keep them in line. They will always be your everything. Enjoy all the tapioca pudding you want. No calories in heaven. Keep smiling pretty lady. You will be missed but always included and remembered. Hugs and love, Ronda xoxo

I am so deeply saddened by your loss. Mrs Cammarata was always there through the path in our back yard and always provided a stable home for me to go to when things weren’t great at my own. She treated me like the daughter she never had. Loved by so many she was. When my mother passed, she always reminded me of the beautiful memories she had of that time in our lives and how wonderful my mother was. Rich and Mike...I feel your pain so much and can only say it will get better with time. I hope for the 3 of you to stick together and remember all the great times. Mr Cammarata you were also like a father to me. Helping make me the athlete I became pitching to us in your yard. I love you all and my heart is so heavy. Stay well....
