

She was predeceased by her loving husband, John Patrick Jennings (Jack), to whom she had been married to for 73 years.
She is survived by her 4 devoted daughters, Elaine, Patricia, Noreen, and June; her 11 grandchildren and her 4 great grandchildren.
Marian was born in Chicago of immigrant parents Nora Hanley and Giovanni Diminno. Her parents moved to Bronx, NY where she lived for several years and met her husband to be. They fell in love but were soon separated when Jack joined the Army Air Corps at the beginning of World War II. Jack proposed and Marian and her mother took the train to Enid, OK from New York City where Jack was stationed. She was married in Enid, Oklahoma in 1943 on the Air Force base chapel to her husband John Jennings in the midst of World War II during his service as an Air Force instructor and pilot.
Marian was a home maker who raised her girls with love and care. She enjoyed entertaining her friends with delicious meals at home. She volunteered her time teaching a generation of young girls to sew at St Theresa's Catholic School in Briarcliff Manor NY. After her husband retired, they moved down to Florida to enjoy their golden years.
Marian was an avid baker and cook whose creations were enjoyed by all. She had a very keen sense of humor and her comments and witticisms kept her friends and family in stitches through the years. She enjoyed listening to singers like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr.
Marian also enjoyed antiquing as well as traveling to different places on cruises and other adventures in the world with Jack and her children and grandchildren. She was very generous and loving with her time for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her home was always warm and welcoming, a reflection of her heart and soul.
A private visitation will be held at Aycock-Riverside Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Entombment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Pompano Beach.
