

She was born in Bogota, Colombia on September 18, 1953 to the late Guillermo (“Tony”) and Soledad (“Solita”) Aranguren. She immigrated to the United States in 1963 with her family, residing Miami Lakes, Florida.
In 1975, Marie met her sweetheart, Timothy Ray Wallace. They wed in 1978, going on to have three beautiful children, Rosemarie, Joseph and Christopher; and then three granddaughters: Violet, Coral and Olivia Rodowicz.
Marie lived by the motto: “To be successful, you must help others be successful.” She volunteered for medical mission trips, provided free dental care to people in need, was a contributor for a radio program helping people immigrate and assimilate into the United States, and other religious and community events. She touched many peoples’ lives through her kind and friendly spirit. She also loved the oceans and Florida’s beaches.
She was a graduate of Florida International University (B.S. Biology and Chemistry) and the Colegio Odontologico Colombiano (Dental College of Colombia, Doctor of Dental Medicine). She was a professor of Dental Assisting/Hygiene at Santa Fe Community College (Gainesville, FL) and Greenville Technicial College (Greenville, SC).
Marie is survived by her husband of 42 years, all her children and grandchildren, and her three siblings: Christine Tricoli, Sally Ann Smith, and Robert Aranguren.
Funeral Mass will be held at St Andrews Catholic Church, 2100 SE Cove Rd, Stuart, FL 34997 on June 23, 2021 at 10 am.
