

Marjorie Evans Goldsmith peacefully passed away at the age of 89 at the Jupiter Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center on February 1, 2023. Margie was born on August 20, 1933 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Ed and Sarah Evans.
She attended high school in Jacksonville, Florida but did not graduate. At 45 years old she obtained a high school equivalency diploma and continued her education to earn a Bachelor of Science Degree from Florida Atlantic University. Margie married Van Goldsmith on March 15, 1953 in Jacksonville and they would have been married 70 years in March of 2023.
Her first job was a Southern Bell Telephone operator. She was a homemaker from 1961 to 1995 when she started as Secretary-Treasurer of her husband's engineering business. Her hobbies included sewing, water skiing (many years ago) and motorhome travel. Over the last 25 years she and Van visited most of the US in their motorhome.
She is survived by her husband, Van; two sons, David and Doug and three grandchildren, Drew, Zach and Abby.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 31, 2023 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Aycock-Riverside Funeral home, 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter, FL 33458. A Memorial Service will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 am. Burial will take place at South FL National Cemetery. Donations may be made in Marjorie's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
