Martha Jeanette Huffstetler Daniels “Jeannie “was born November 30, 1941 in Lincolnton, North Carolina, daughter of Marshall Edward and Myrtle Lee Huffstetler. She was a devoted mother to her daughters: Leslie Weber and husband Mark Weber, and Cindy Bozman and husband Nick Bozman, and her step-son Mark Daniels and wife Sue Daniels. She cherished her grandchildren all: Ray, Jacqueline (JJ), Jennifer and Melinda. Jeannie was a loving wife to Jim Daniels and enjoyed her later years as a loving partner to Sneed King.
Jeannie was born into a family of wonderful brothers and sisters, a family of eight children: Joann Hill, Marshall Huffstetler, Milton Huffstetler, Carolyn Allran, Ken Huffstetler, Bill Huffstetler and Deb Buff. They were a close and loving family. She is once again together with her beloved siblings Joann, Carolyn, Marshall, Ken, and Milton.
Many things brought her happiness in her life, with two standing out among them. Coming from such a large family, there was always a ball game. It might have been a family game of softball in the back yard with her brothers and sisters, a league or school game with her children or nieces and nephews, but there was always a ball game. She loved to bowl, and this was through many decades of her life. Her Tuesday morning bowling league with the ladies was not to be missed, and her Sunday night league with Jim, Marshall and Judy was the highlight of her week. With both ball games or bowling, she was with her family. Let us not forget the UNC-Duke family rivalry, and she loved her Gators.
She also found her happiness in life at the beach. Her children and grandchildren spent many a happy day with her at Lake Worth Beach. With the many stories and pictures, we will always remember those days. She was sure to have cherished most when she and Judy, sister-in-law and best friend, found time to be together and find their joy and peace on the sand at Lake Worth Beach as well as her loving family bond with her brother Bill and sister Deb.
In lieu of flowers, please help Jeannie to continue to help the children with a donation to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in her memory.
