

Martha E. Pollak Heck, age 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 29, 2018. She was born September 15, 1933 in Duquesne, PA to John G. Pollak and Evelyn Tudja Pollak, the oldest of four children. She was a graduate of Duquesne High School. She met her husband, Richard K. Heck, on a blind date and married on April 16, 1955. They decided to build a home in McKeesport, PA where they had two daughters. Martha loved entertaining and the home soon became the central location for family and friends.
In 1982 she and Richard moved to Charlotte, NC where they lived until Richard passed away in 1991. She retired from JC Penney’s after 25 years of service. Then moved to Palm Beach Gardens, Florida to be with her daughters and granddaughter who she adored. Martha enjoyed the beach, flower arranging, boating and especially music and dancing. She will always be known for her zest for life and sense of humor. Words cannot describe how much we will miss her.
Survivors are her daughters, Lynn Heck and Sandy Heck, both of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; granddaughter, Sarah Armengau, of Tucson, AZ; siblings, Jack (Gay) Pollak of Rio Rico, Arizona, Elsie Pollak, Fernandina Beach, FL, Ernie (Ellie) Pollak of Aurora, Ohio and a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held August 6, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. with a celebration of life to follow from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Aycock-Riverside Funeral Home, 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter, FL 33458.
