

Our beloved Max R. Feehrer, age 96 passed away quietly in his sleep on August 30, 2020, at the home of his son, Bob and daughter in law, Alice Feehrer of Jupiter, Florida. He was a kind and humorous man loved by all who knew him.
He was born July 4, 1924, the youngest of three children to his parents, Jenny and George A. Feehrer of Williamsport, Pennsylvania. He served in the US Navy as a radio technician on the LST 704 during World War II. This was a critical position during the war.
He was married to Thelma S. Feehrer in 1945. They had two children, Robert and Sharon. His death is preceded by his wife Thelma, in 2018 after 73 years of marriage and a daughter, Susan Wood in 2010.
He attended and graduated from Penn State University in 1949 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He initially worked for Sylvania Electronics in Williamsport, Pennsylvania for 10 years. He then was hired by (then named) Martin Marietta in 1959, moving his family from Williamsport, Pennsylvania to Orlando, Florida in 1959. He worked and retired from Lockheed Martin in 1985 after 26 years of service. While employed At Lockheed Martin as a Quality Control Engineer. He worked on several style missile designs such as the Pershing, the Bull Pup, the Sprint, and Sam D, now called the Patriot. He was a 32nd degree Mason, member serving in the Scottish Rite Lodge #239, Winter Park, Florida.
He and Thelma were initially members of Goss Memorial United Methodist Church and then transferred their membership into Azalea United Methodist Church in 2002 when Goss Memorial Methodist church closed its doors.
He is survived by his son, Robert and daughter in law, Alice Feehrer of Jupiter, Florida, John and Season Feehrer of Brock, Texas, Susan and Ryan Leslie and their two children, Carter and Grace of Green Acres, Florida, Chris and Carol Baronoff and their two children, Cailyn and Cassidy, Jordan and Britta wood and their two sons, Ryan and Ethan of Ocala, Florida, Courtney and Tom Dann of Colorado Springs, Colorado. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was an inspiration to all that knew him.
At a future time, internment will be at the Glen Haven Memorial Park in Orlando, Florida.
