August 14, 1947 – December 7, 2016
Nancy Ann Barnhill Wallace was born in Kansas City, the second child of Robert and Margaret Barnhill. As the only daughter, Nancy "ruled the roost" with brothers Barney, Jay and Greg. Nancy, a wife, mother, grandmother and aunt, focused her attention on her only child, Nicole. Nancy made Nicole's clothes, educated her about the arts and became Nana extraordinaire to Nicole’s children, Marie Elise, Coleman and Sophie.
Nancy, a lifelong adventurer and entrepreneur, held successful careers in insurance, real estate and finance. She also ventured into the exotic automobile business and sponsored a deep sea treasure hunting enterprise with her husband, Bill. Nancy's final career achievement was as Manager of Sales at Devonshire in PGA, where her parents were also residents.
In recent years, Nancy was the caregiver for her father, mother, husband and mother in-law. Her ability to relate and connect with family, friends and the community-at-large was her greatest asset.
Nancy is survived by her daughter Nicole and her three children, her stepson Craig Wallace and his wife Karen, her brothers, Barney and Jay, and many nieces and nephews. William G. Wallace Jr., her husband, passed away March 18, 2010.
A Celebration of Nancy’s life will be held at First United Methodist Church of Jupiter-Tequesta 815 E. Indiantown Road. on Saturday, December 10th at 10:30 am. A reception will immediately follow.
