Mr. Starman was born on July 8, 1947 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Steve Starman and Anne Pamer Starman. He graduated from North Catholic High School and earned his bachelors of science at the University of Iowa. After graduating, he was drafted by the Chicago Cubs baseball organization and played in the minor leagues. He was a retired loan officer of Mellon Bank working for them for twenty-one years and then a financial consultant.
Survivors include his beloved Nancy Sauers; sons; Paul (Julita) Starman and Craig Starman, brother; Jim Starman, and sister; Marianne Troiano-Dietz, grandchildren; Shane Starman, Sidney Starman, J.R. Starman, Amalia Starman, and Cassandra Starman, nieces and nephews; Jim Starman, Kelly Starman, Brian Troiano, and Shawn Troiano.
A private family memorial service to be held at a later date.
