

Lake, NY on April 28, 1934; the son of the late Philip F. and Pearl Kohler.
Robert was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He resided in East Hartford and Tolland, CT.
He was employed by United Technologies, Pratt & Whitney. Robert relocated to FL in 1967 and
continued working for P&W until his retirement in 1993 after 35 years with the company. When
his sons were young, he was involved in their Boy Scout activities. He was a member of the
Jupiter Elks, the American Legion and UTC Retirees Club. He enjoyed woodworking and
making decorative iron pieces with his own forge, volunteering as a blacksmith at Yesteryear
Village. In his spare time he and his wife enjoyed traveling around the country in their camper.
He is predeceased by a brother, James Kohler and a sister, Mary (Susie) Gursey.
He is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Gail; two sons, Steven Kohler (Stacey) and Jonathan
Kohler; beloved granddaughter, Summer; a brother, Edward T. Kohler (Debby); as well as
several nieces and nephews.
Per Robert’s wishes there will be no formal services. A private interment will be held for the
family at Riverside Memorial Park at a later date.
Those wishing to honor Robert are encouraged to send memorial donations to a charity of your
choice. His desire was for those so inclined to raise a glass to a wonderful husband, loving father
and grandfather and a good friend. Cheers!
