

Roberta (Bobbie) Vance LeMay, age 78, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, passed away on August 2, 2017 after a lingering illness.
She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly A. Moretz, and son-in-law, Robert A. Moretz of Jupiter FL; two sons, William V. Burbaum of Hobe Sound, FL and Scott A. Burbaum of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; two grandchildren, Gavin A. Moretz and Collin A. Moretz of Jupiter FL; a sister, Audrey Vance Redl of Portland, OR; and nieces and nephews, Christina Redl of Portland, OR and Erik Redl (Megan, Alexander, Brady, Virginia) of Fargo, ND.
A long-time animal lover, Bobbie is also survived by scores of homeless kittens, which she rescued and lovingly cared for over her lifetime. Finding homes for homeless kittens was her never-ending, God-given passion.
The daughter of the late Seymour M. and Mabel I. Vance, she was born December 7, 1938 in Olean, NY where she attended Olean High School, St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, and learned from her father to hunt, fish and handle a rifle. In addition to being an award-winning markswoman, Bobbie was also an accomplished amateur roller skater.
A resident of Palm Beach Gardens, FL since1981, Bobbie became a member of the area's food service community, working at the Colonnades Hotel on Palm Beach Shores, and later at the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center.
A memorial gathering will be held at Aycock-Riverside Funeral and Cremation Center in Jupiter, FL on August 12, 2017 from 10:00 am until service time at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be gratefully accepted at Adopt A Cat Foundation in Lake Park, FL (adoptacatfoundation.org), or Trustbridge, home of Hospice of Palm Beach County (trustbridge.com).
