She was born on December 9, 1934 in Utica, New York to the late Salvatore (Sam) and Dorothy (Worden) Genovice. She was raised in Utica, attended local schools, and was a graduate of T.R. Proctor High School.
In September of 1954 she married the late Raymond J. Villelo. They shared four children.
During these years she worked various jobs to help support her family, including Univac, Utica Mícrofilm, and eventually retiring from the banking industry. She also sold Avon for many years and will be remembered as the "Avon Lady".
Chick moved to Florída in 1998 to be closer to her daughters. She re-entered the workforce and became a product demonstrator at Costco. She formed many close relationships while there and eventually retired for the second time.
A kind lady with a good sense of humor, Chick was always happy visiting with family and friends. She enjoyed gardening, antiquing, camping and traveling, cards, bowling, trips to the Auriesville Shrine and to the casinos, and going to the church feasts and State Fairs. She was always up to a good game of scrabble.
During her later years she especially enjoyed going for car rides with her pet dog on her lap.
An excellent cook and baker, she will be remembered especially for her Christmas cookies. Always having a tray for her family and friends.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her beloved brother Robert Charles Genovice.
She is survived by her four children: David H. Villelo, Gail A. Villelo, Paul J. Villelo and Julie A. Villelo, all of Florida. Also, her furry friends Cleo and Bailey, and many nieces, nephews, and close friends in New York and Florida.
In honoring Mom's wishes her family will honor and commemorate her life privately.
She will be laid to rest in the family plot at Calvary Cemetery in Utica, New York.
Mom had a great love for animals and we are sure she was greeted with wagging tails, love and licks by Blackie, Tiny, Sam, King, Peter, Snowball, Bella, Princess, Salvo, Max, Kitty Ann, and Buddy.
