

95, of Jupiter, FL, passed away March 6, 2014. Born in Roaring Creek Township on March 28th, 1918, she was the 8th of nine children of Ethan Allen and Bertha Hampton. She was predeceased by her parents and all of her siblings. The family are Mayflower descendants through their mother’s linage.
A long-time resident of Berwick, PA, she was extremely active in the Nescopeck Free Methodist Church, teaching the Kindergarten Sunday School class for over 27 years, as well as being in the choir and Director of the Christian Youth Crusader program. In addition she worked many years in several Bloomsburg silk mills.
She possessed great natural wisdom and was a life-long counselor/confidant for countless family and friends. She delighted in being surrounded by those she loved, and in turn, was beloved by all who knew her. She also a had a bountiful creative bent, composing many poems for special occasions and being very gifted making various ceramic and sewing projects.
In 1977, she relocated to Jupiter, FL, and immediately became involved and endeared to the family of Grace Immanuel Bible Church through her quick wit, great sense of fun and a loving desire to be of service to one and all.
January 1, 1947, she became the wife of Clark V. Farver, and they remained married until his death in 2000. Survivors include their only child, Darla Farver Orrell of Jupiter, FL, many dear nieces and nephews, and a host of cherished friends.
A memorial service will be held at Grace Immanuel Bible Church on her 96th birthday, March 28th. A graveside service will take place at Elan Memorial Cemetery in May.
