Susan Spencer Sample of Jupiter, Florida and Boston, Massachusetts, passed away on January 20. She was 79 years old. Susan was born on October 26, 1938 in Springfield, Illinois, to Earl and Lucille Spencer. She grew up in Ferguson, Missouri, where she met her future husband, Howard H. Sample, who she married in 1958. Susan earned an Associate’s degree from William Woods College, a Bachelor’s degree from Drake University, and a Registered Nurse degree from Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford Massachusetts. Surviving are her children Jeffery P. Sample of San Jose, California, William C. Sample of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Amy C. Sample of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and her grandchildren Milena Sample Jeffers and Kalin Sample Jeffers. Her ashes will be buried next to her late husband’s at Forever Oak Hill Cemetery in Kirkwood, Missouri.
