Jim was born in Rahway, New Jersey on July 27, 1946 to Vincent and Marjorie (Gilman) Pantini and was the eldest of 7 children. He attended Middletown township high school in New Jersey and proudly served 4 years in the US Navy. He met his wife Lynda in 1961 when they were teenagers and married her in 1965. Together they raised three children, Lisa, Jim (Vincent IV) and Jason in Atlantic Highlands, NJ and moved the family to Navesink, NJ in 1980. He and Lynn ran a successful appliance parts and repair business (Better Housekeeping) in 1978 until retiring to Florida in 2011. He and Lynn would have been married 60 years in September.
When not working hard, Jim loved hosting family get-togethers with Lynn, riding his motorcycle, camping, canoeing, and hiking. He became an avid beach walker when he moved to Florida.
Jim’s legacy lives on through his loving wife Lynda (Hallam) Pantini of Jupiter, FL and his three wonderful children: Lisa Kaplan of Palm Beach Gardens, Fl, Vincent (Jim) Pantini of Jupiter, Fl and Jason Pantini and his wife Kathy of Ewing, NJ. Jim has three amazing grandchildren: Olivia Kaplan and Leah Kaplan of Denver, CO and Daniel Pantini of Philadelphia, Pa.
Jim will deeply missed by his loving sisters: Laura Lee of Bayville, NJ, Paula Proveaux of Chico, Ca and Toni Pantini of Tinton Falls, NJ. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Vincent and Marjorie and his siblings: Steven Pantini, Susan Zoppi and Michael Pantini.
Jim had a large family with many nieces and nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends who all loved him dearly. He was a fun-loving guy and requested to not have a funeral, just a simple cremation as he wanted his loved ones to remember him as he was back in the day.
In his memory, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s association at www.alz.org
