Beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather passed on December 21, 2012.
Walt was known for his wit and contagious smile, always ready to chat and make a friend. He is survived by his 3 sons Kris, Kurt, and Karl; 3 grandchildren Adam, Parker and Hannah; his brother Vern and his sister Doris; and his faithful K-9 companion Brie.
Walt had many friends in Florida and North Carolina where he enjoyed sculpting, reading, the arts, cooking, carving, and living life to the fullest.
Walt was a combat veteran who saw action in the Pacific during WWII. He was proud of his service aboard the carrier “USS Princeton” where he was a machinist. During his life he managed production and owned several small businesses. He later built golf courses in the US and Europe.
A founding member of The Unitarian Universalist Church of Northern Palm Beach Co, he was always ready to give a hand up to those less fortunate. We will remember him at his prime - a big smile, a loud laugh, likely pulling a prank or trading barbs with those who were lucky to be close to him. Walt, The Lord blesses and lifts up his countenance upon you. Your memory will forever brighten our lives.
