Yvonne E. Henry

Yvonne (Sellers) Henry, 85 years old, passed away at home on July 5, 2016. Yvonne was born December 17, 1930 in Pittsburgh, Pa. to Helen and Audrey Schwemm. Yvonne completed Cosmetology training after High School and started her own business. After moving to Florida in 1961, Yvonne continued her entrepreneurial spirit, owning three hair salons, and then pursuing real estate credentials. She established her own company and was a successful broker. Yvonne was equally dedicated to her Catholic faith, as a long time member of St. Paul of the Cross Church in North Palm Beach. She participated in the choir, was a Eucharistic Minister, and established Love Works Ministry to provide meals for the homeless.

Yvonne is survived by six daughters: Catherine Sellers (T. Charles Shafer), Jan Cariseo (James), Debra Falcone (Ed Lawrence), Joy Bryant (Jerry), Vicki Hutchinson, and Marcy Perham (Michael); three step-children: Kathy, Tony, and John Moore (and their families); ten grandchildren: David, Lindsey (Drew), Sarah, Matthew (Elizabeth), Andrew, Erin (Kirk), Patrick, Stephanie, Laura (Sherrod), and Christopher (Sarah); and eight great-grandchildren: Collin, Cameron, Mackenzie, Wyatt, Michela, Easton, Carter, and Conner.

The family would like to recognize the excellent care given by the staff of VITAS Innovative Hospice Care, and Tequesta Terrace’s Sonata Memory Care Unit. Visitation will be held Friday, July 8, 5p.m. to 7p.m. at Aycock-Riverside Funeral Home 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter. A funeral mass will be held Saturday, July 9, 11 a.m. in the chapel of St. Jude’s Catholic Church 204 U.S. Highway One, Tequesta, followed by interment at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery in Royal Palm Beach. Contributions may be made in Yvonne’s honor to the Southeast Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org).
