Abikel Hans, 60, of Kahului, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2011 at Maui Memorial Medical Center. Mrs. Hans was born on April 16, 1951 in Losap, Chuuk, Micronesia. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Hans is survived by her children, Youanis Taylor, Elercy (Charlie) Chunga and Chelsicher (Enjoy Esetok) Takis Augustina Ichiro; a brother, Kimiuo Hans; nine grandchildren, Chas and Charsy Chunga, Enchok, Enjay, Jayency and Enjelena Esetok, Trynalin, Jayden, and Chanorina Hans. She is preceded in death by her father, Biesu Hans; her mother, Amurina Biraba Kale; and four brothers, Asi Hans, Santer Hans, Encher Hans, and Sisan Hans.
Visitation: Family and friends are invited to gather for funeral services on Friday, December 2, 2011 at Borthwick Norman's Mortuary. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Visitation will continue at 9 a.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at the Kahului Union Church.
Services: On Friday, December 2, 2011 at Borthwick Norman's Mortuary, service at 7 p.m. On Saturday, December 3, 2011 at the Kahului Union Church with a service at 11 a.m.
Interment: Burial will follow 2 p.m. at Valley Isle Memorial Park in Haiku.
