Alfredo Balmoja

Born on August 24, 1941, Alfredo was known for his quiet strength, unwavering dedication to family, and deep sense of humor and humility. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Carmilla Balmoja, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and devotion.

Alfredo is survived by his children: Mona Miyamoto (Rodney), Joslyn Fukushima (Colin), David Kawika Balmoja (Faye), Alexandria Nalani Doming (Eduardo), and Patrick Bufo Balmoja (Alicia). He was a proud grandfather to Sheryl, Patrick, Lyn, Travis, Tara, Casey, Kelsey, Lindsey, Chad, Vance, Zoey, Avery, Darin-Lee, JonJon, Jaliyah Elliana, and Adaline. His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren: Aiden, Alyssa, Patrick Jr., Leialoha, Payten, Slayde, Rahnen, Silas, and Jenesis.

He is also survived by his siblings Maggie (Joe) Sumile, Carlito (Clarissa) Balmoja, and Doyo Valmoja. And predeceased by his fellow siblings Eli Balmoja, Richard “Dickie” Balmoja, and Rudy Balmoja.

Alfredo’s life was rooted in family, and he was the foundation on which generations were built. He will be remembered for his steady presence, gentle wisdom, and the love he poured into his family’s lives.

A memorial service to celebrate Alfredo’s life will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to gather, honor his memory, and share stories of a life so beautifully lived.

He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
