Brandon Christopher Scott, affectionately known as Skip, passed away peacefully at 1:20 AM on September 28, 2024, on Oahu. Born in Fort Worth, Texas, and raised in Southlake, Texas, Skip moved to the beautiful island of Maui in 2008, where he spent his adult years building a life filled with creativity, joy, and community.
Skip was a beloved entrepreneur, known for his ventures including Big Wave Taffy, Lahaina Fudge Company, and Gypsy Guide. His passion for life was evident in the traditions he created, from throwing pizza parties to organizing pancake eating contests, always finding ways to bring people together and make the most of each day.
A talented musician, Skip played in marching bands, college bands, and local bands throughout Lahaina, sharing his love for music with everyone he met. His greatest achievements were not just in business, but in the friendships he forged and the warmth he shared with all.
Skip is survived by his devoted wife, Elizabeth Scott, his loving parents, Steve Scott and his wife Pat Scott and Linda Scott and husband Jack Disarro, and his cherished dog, Rico.
In honor of Skip's legacy, we remember his zest for life and his unforgettable sayings: "I'm just getting started", "Keep changing", and "Everything is good in moderation—including moderation". He leaves behind a vibrant tapestry of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories that will forever inspire those who knew him.
A celebration of Skip's life will be held in Maui at D.T. Fleming Beach on Oct. 26th from 3:30-6:30pm, where all are invited to share in the joy he brought to our lives. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
