Visitation will be held at the family residence located at 4495 Lower Honoapiilani Road in Lahaina, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2013, memorial services will begin at 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. A luncheon will follow the service. Scattering of his ashes at sea will be held at Honokohau Bay following the luncheon. Family requests casual attire and to limit any flowers to loose petals only.
Reuben first worked at Young Brothers Shipping company and worked his way up to First Mate. He then moved to Maui and worked for Kahului Trucking Storage A&B Hawaiian Company as a Tug Boat Captain. The name of the tug boat was Joe Sevier WX-5011.
He is survived by his sisters, Marie K. McCabe, and Gwendolyn (Rick) Hovinen; brothers, Reimann (Nana) Wahinehookae, and Charles (Bee) Wahinehookae.
