Charles Frederick Reinhardt Jr. was born on August 7, 1945 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Rosina Maka`ala Morada and Charles Frederick Reinhardt. He is survived by his sisters Francine Sherman, Beverly Reinhardt, Dale Yuen, Hazel McMillan, Sheila Lester and brother Sabio Reinhardt. He was preceded in death by his sister Rosina Cerna. Charley was sent to live in Hana, Maui with the Lono `ohana at the age of 13. He cherished his time in Hana and in his later years, often expressed his appreciation at the aloha shown to him by his extended family. He eventually moved to Paukukalo to live with his grandmother, Victoria Sarah Kanuihele Reinhardt. This is where he chose to raise his family. He is survived by the mother of his children, Dee Reinhardt, daughter Dolores Reinhardt-Aiu (Kent Fuchigami), son John Reinhardt, daughter Kekai Reinhardt Batungbacal (Adam), and daughter Lokeana Reinhardt Melchor (Leroy). Papa Charley's grandchildren and great-grandchildren will miss him dearly: Tiare Reinhardt, Keana`ai Reinhardt-Aiu Crabbe (Nohea), Tiani Reinhardt-Aiu, Kaiana Reinhardt-Aiu, Tyler Reinhardt, Kamalei Reinhardt, Chalee Batungbacal, Leeana Batungbacal, Kaimana Batungbacal, Kaya Melchor, Makana Melchor, Kylo Reinhardt-Aiu Crabbe and Kauanoeoku`ulehuanani Crabbe. Numerous nieces and nephews will also miss the teasing and cajoling of Uncle Charley. Charley loved lifting weights and many joined him in "pumping iron" at his home gym in Paukukalo. He also enjoyed working on cars. Charley was a big Hawaiian man, yet his greatest strengths were his sense of humor and his love for his friends and family.
