Dora Orengo Costa, 93, of Hilo, passed away on Thursday January 9, 2014 at the Hale Anuenue Restoritive Care Center. She was born in Honomu and Retired as a Kitchen helper for the Hilo Medical Center. She was a member of Malia Puka O’ Kalani Catholic church, Hilo Grandmothers club, foster grandparent program, Hilo Hospital Retirees, was a past supreme president for the Native Sons and Daughters of Hawai’i, and she was also a child care giver. Funeral services will be held at The Malia Puka O’ Kalani Catholic Church, Saturday January 25, 2014. Visitation at 8:00 am, service at 10:00 am. Followed by the burial at Homelani Memorial Park and Cemetery at 1:30 pm. She is survived by her sons Danny Costa Jr. of Hilo, Joseph (Laverne) Costa of Hilo, Robert (Rossann) De Costa of Honolulu; daughter Audrey “Kookie” Demello of Hilo; sister in law Virginia Orengo of Texas; 14 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
