George (Archie) M Campbell, 84 of Wailuku passed away on August 26, 2016 while under the care of Island Hospice. George was born on April 11, 1932 in Keoneoio, Makena, Maui.
He was retired from the Maui Land and Pine Warehouse in Kapalua, and as caretaker of Kaahumanu Church.
A celebration of George’s life will be held on Thursday, September 8th beginning at 9am at the Kaahumanu Church in Wailuku. Service will be at 11am, with a burial to follow at 1pm at the Makawao Veteran’s Cemetery.
George was predeceased by his parents; Moses & Esther Campbell, Sr.; Brothers, Jeremiah, Neal and Solomon Campbell; Sisters, Mildred Campbell, Lowaena Hau, and Betty Purdy.
George is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Maile Campbell; Daughter, Francine “Cynee” Campbell; Brothers, Moses (Helen) Campbell, Paul (Lei) Campbell and Bruce Campbell; Sisters, Susie Kamalani, Ruth Vilvens and Maybelle (Richard) Ka’a’a; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
