

Geraldine Geri "Tootie" Kamaile Borge of Wailuku, Maui Hawaii, passed away on June 9, 2024, at the age of 82. She was born on August 19, 1941, in Wailuku. Geri was known for her loyalty and love towards her family and friends.
Geri had a vibrant personality and enjoyed spending time with her high school girlfriends, sharing laughter, jokes, and memories. She was an avid reader, with a particular fondness for the works of Danielle Steele. Geri’s love for reading extended to collecting hand-made Santa dolls by Ione Adams, showcasing her appreciation for artistry.
In her professional life, Geri had a successful career at The Hawaiian Telephone Company (HTCO), where she was affectionately known as "Tootie." She excelled in her role as the Supervisor of the Mail Services Department, demonstrating exceptional organizational skills and a talent for working well with others.
She is survived by her husband Frank Stanley Borge, son Scott Borge, grandson Dalton Kamuela, daughter-in-law Iwalani Catherine, and sister-in-law Leonani Meyer, along with many cousins. Tootie was preceded in death by her father Hymie Jacob Meyer Jr., mother Hazel Shaw Meyer, and brother Hymie J. Meyer III, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Tootie's life will be celebrated at St. Anthony Church in Wailuku, Maui, Hawaii, on June 19, 2024. The services will include a private family visitation at 9:00 am, followed by a public visitation at 9:30 am, an eulogy at 10:30 am, and a funeral mass at 11:00 am. She will be laid to rest at Maui Memorial Park at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
Tootie will be dearly missed by all who knew her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
