

Visitation will be held from 9am on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Christ the King Church in Kahului. Eulogy will begin at 10:15am; mass at 11am; burial will follow, 12:30pm at Maui Memorial Park.
Gilbert was predeceased by his parents, Hermogenes & Vicenta Tabisola Agatol; his brother, Rudolpho ‘’Rudy’’ Agatol; and brother-in-law, David Masanda.He is survived by his brother, Ray (Rosita) Agatol; sister, Lelia ‘’Lei’’ Agatol Masanda; uncle, Sixto Tabisola; newphews, Scotty (Wendy) Agatol, Cord (Joanna) Agatol; nieces, Melanie (LJ) Agatol Vista, Desiree Masanda Vaka, Darlene (Crispin) Torricer, Charlene (Darryl) Masanda Lacno, Davelynn Masanda; grand nephews, Devin Agatol, Aukai and Kahanu Vista, Rodney and Reno Vaka, and Dayton Valoroso; grand nieces, Kau’i and Kahiau Vista, Jordin Masanda, as well as numerous cousins.
Gilbert grew up in Pu’unene (Camp 4) and Kahului. He attended programs such as: Special Olympics Maui, Easter Seals Hawaii and Maui Adult Day Care. He would often ride his bicycle to recycle aluminum cans and plastic bottles, enjoyed special moments with family at gatherings and numerous out of state trips to Disneyland and Las Vegas. He was always the happy easy go lucky, kind of spirit guy and a gentle soul. He will be dearly missed and will remain in our hearts forever.
