It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joseph Sadang, a beloved husband ,father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, who left this world on April 16, 2025, at the age of 86. Joseph was a devoted family man, leaving behind his wife Maureen Sadang and loving children, Malia Tateyama (Sheldon Tateyama) and the late Joseph M. Sadang (D). He took immense pride in his role as a grandfather to Shelia K. Sadang-Tateyama (Pakela Cabrera) and Joley Caroline K. Sadang-Tateyama, and as a great-grandfather to the precious Amelia June K.S.T.N. Cabrera. His family was his greatest joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
A proud veteran, Joseph served in the Army Reserve and volunteered with the Coast Guard, demonstrating his commitment to his country and community. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, and he was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he found strength and fellowship.
Joseph dedicated many years to his career at AMFAC Kaanapali Golf Course, where he was known for his hard work and dedication, which is where his love of golf bloomed and became a part of the filAM Golf Club. Beyond his professional life, he was a passionate Cub Scout leader, nurturing the next generation with his wisdom and kindness. His spirit of service extended to his community, where he was an avid community volunteer, always eager to lend a helping hand.
