Leslie Bovee, born in 1920 in El Central, California, celebrated his 100th birthday last November. Survived by his three daughters, Karan Talada, Colleen Marocco, and Melody Weaver; 7 grandkids, and 12 great grandkids.
He saw the world change during the great depression, served in the army in World War 2, and owned a Model T Ford. He worked in aircraft manufacturing for 30 years then retired to build 3 houses, various churches, and help his kids with many projects including houses, orchards, gardens, and chicken coops. He enjoyed camping, hiking, boating, and playing with grandkids (mostly making swings). He loved going to church and talking story with friends. He will be missed by many.
Memorial service will be held at King’s Cathedral at 5pm Thursday, March 18.
