Michael Akira Kono, age 65, of Kahului, Maui, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025, at Hale Makua.
Michael was a beloved son, nephew, and cousin who will be remembered for the love he shared with his family and the quiet presence he brought to those around him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Tadanobu Kono and Alice Matsuura Kono, both of Kahului.
A visitation will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Ballard Family Mortuary in Kahului. Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Maui Memorial Park Cemetery.
