Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 21, 2012, at Christ the King Catholic Church; mass will begin at 11:00 a.m.; burial will follow, 12:30 p.m., at the Maui Veteran’s Cemetery in Makawao.
Robert graduated from Baldwin High School, earned Honors in the U.S. Army (Combat Infantryman Badge), and retired as Sergeant with the Maui Police Department. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Jane Fernandez; sons, Robert Joseph (Ava) Fernandez Jr., William Alfred (Mary) Fernandez; daughters, Yvonne Kanoa, Darlene (Ronald) Kuailani; sister, Myrtle Pszyk; and numerous grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
