
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 19, 2017, at Christ the King Catholic Church; mass will begin at 11:00 a.m.; burial will follow, 12:30 p.m., at Maui Memorial Park Cemetery in Wailuku.
Rosita attended grade school at Holy Rosary, and in 1955, graduated from St. Anthony High School. She worked at the Royal Lahaina Hotel, starting as a bus girl, waitress, baker and retired in 1998 as PBX Operator. She loved watching pro tennis (she was a huge fan of the Williams sisters), baking, cooking, Volunteering her services to the community (she received the Easter Seals Humanitarian award), and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Gloria, Melissa Vida (Earl Sr.), Lena Mendez; six grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; brother, Rodney; sisters, Loreta Baza, Carmen Brinkley (Joe Sr.), Filey, Juanita Soto, Lillian Spragan; and sister in law, Pat Blair. She was predeceased by her husband, Simeon Cabotaje; brother, Albert Navarro; and nephew, David Brinkley.
