Sandra Joyce Gomes passed away on July 6, 2023, at her home in Wailuku, she was under hospice care and had her beloved husband by her side.She was born February 26, 1954, to Isidro (Pete) & Marie Mendoza.She married Francis Gomes on October 4, 1974. They have a daughter, Desiree and a son Kekoa.
Sandra dedicated her life as a childcare provider for over 40 years she helped raise over 100 children, retiring in 2018.
She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, sharing a good laugh and anything to do with music. Singing karaoke, playing the ukulele and guitar or getting out on the dance floor.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023, from 9:00am to 12:00pm; with prayer service to begin at 10:30am at Ballard Family Mortuary in Kahului.She is survived by her husband, daughter, son, grandson Brayden and 6 siblings, Ronald Mendoza, Francine Wong,Gerald Mendoza, Kenneth Mendoza, Byron Mendoza & Peaches Sodetani.
