A memorial service will held on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Ballard Family Mortuary. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m.; eulogy will start at 10:30 a.m.
Ty was predeceased by his parents, Zenkichi and Edith Shimabuku; brother, Lew Shimabuku; companion, Ruby Masanda; and his canine companion, Musubee. He is survived by his son, Brandon (Delia) Masanda; step grandchildren, Diedre Peterson, Kalani Peterson; grandson, Preston Masanda; brothers, Glenn (Cynthia) Shimbauku, Dan (Donna) Shimabuku, Jon (Rhoda) Shimabuku, Ray (Lisa) Shimabuku; sister-in-law, Grace Shimabuku; nephews, Shane Shimabuku, Ian Shimabuku, Dain (Dale) Shimabuku, Ry-n Shimabuku; nieces, Sheri (Spencer Lee) Shimbuku, Rho-jon (Emanuel) Dela Cruz, Wendy (Cy) Early, Torie “Lani” Shimabuku, Amy (Kapena) Kamai and Mia (Edward Jr) A’i.
