Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, April 26, 2013, at Ballard Family Mortuary; service will begin at 7:00 p.m.; cremation will follow. Scattering of her ashes will begin at 12:00 noon on Saturday, April 27, 2013, at Paia Bay; luncheon will follow at Baldwin Park in Paia. The family requests that everyone wear green at her scattering.
Aunty Nani is survived by her companion, Joey Santos Bras; son, Uhanekai Arlantico of Honolulu; daughter, Heather Berg of California; and brothers, Oren (Doreen) Hoopai of Hilo, Dennis Hoopai of Maui, Danny (Valerie) Hoopai of Maui, and Felton “Ipo” (Shirley) Hoopai of Maui.
