Dad was born on Oct. 4, 1937 in Pine Falls, MB to Alphonse and Eugenie Vincent. He was the eldest of 10 children. In 1953, he met the love of his life, Anita Guimond. Mom was taken by his beautiful blue eyes and gentle personality. "There was no turning back" and they married on Sept. 12, 1959. Their love for each other carried our family through many joys, trials and challenges. In July 1973, Dad moved his family across the prairies to 100 Mile House, BC in search of a better life that would allow him to spend more time with his family. We are so thankful for our memories of our close family life.
Dad was also a very skilled woodworker and our homes display much of his handiwork.
Dad retired in 1998 from Weldwood Sawmill. He made many friends through the Knights of Columbus and was granted an Honourary lifetime membership. In 2003, Mom and Dad moved to Kamloops BC for milder winters and to be closer to their younger grandchildren.
He looked forward to playing bingo and cards with friends. He also enjoyed taking chances with scratch tickets and outings to play Keno.
Dad had an incredible work ethic and was patient, kind and very devoted to Mom and his family. He was a man of few words and when he spoke, it was generally humorous and profound.
We will miss him dearly.
