June 30, 1957 - October 3, 2023
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dean Alfred Irwin.
Dean, also known as “Big Dean” or “Die Hard Dalton”, passed away unexpectedly on
October 3rd, 2023 in Kamloops, BC at the age of 66.
Dean was born on June 30, 1957 in Etobicoke, Ontario to June and William Irwin. He traveled
out to the coast in his mid-twenties where he established a life for himself and a family. Dean
worked as a CP rail conductor for 32 years and had a passion for muscle cars, trucks and
Harley’s.
Dean recently moved to the community of Rayleigh, just outside of Kamloops, with his spouse
Sue, and they purchased their dream home.
Dean is predeceased by his father William and his oldest brother Gary.
Dean was known for his quick wit, his great sense of humour and he could make a friend
anywhere he went.
He will be lovingly remembered by Sue, his daughter Samantha, siblings Mark, Danny, Kim,
Colleen, his mother June and many friends.
There will be a celebration of life held for Dean on June 29, 2024 at Heffley Hall.
We want to thank the many friends and family members that have helped and comforted us in
our time of great sorrow. We are forever grateful.
