September 1, 1929 – January 27, 2025
Edna Loreen Buff (née Koepke) passed away peacefully on January 27, 2025, at the age of 95.
Born on September 1, 1929, in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan, to Neva and Allen Koepke, Edna spent her early years in Northern Alberta. She later moved to Maple Ridge, where she met and married her husband, Kurt, on July 31, 1948. In the early 1950s, they settled in Westwold, British Columbia, where they raised their family and built a life together.
Edna was predeceased by her husband Kurt; daughter Sharon; son-in-law Cam; and sister Ethel. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters Anje (Garry), Bonny, and Shelley; sons Kurt (Linda), Russell (Lanni), and Roland (Linda); as well as her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
A woman with a zest for life, Edna loved to travel and explored destinations all over the world. Winters spent in Yuma, Arizona, were among her favorite times of year, as were visits to casinos that brought her much enjoyment. A dedicated community member, she was a proud lifetime member of the Westwold Women's Institute.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Royal Inland Hospital and the compassionate team at Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Memorial Hospice Home for their care and support.
At this time, no formal service will be held.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.
