Georgina Daryl Menlar (also known as Georgia), aged 77, passed away peacefully at her home in Kamloops on February 14, 2026.
Georgia was born on March 25, 1948 in Burnaby, BC to Edna and John Manson. She grew up in and attended school in Burnaby.
In 1974, Georgia married Volante Menlar, and they shared 11 years together. She is survived by her daughter Barbie, son Eric (Dee), grandchildren, Esprit, Christian and Kayden. She was preceded in death by her husband Volante, her parents Edna and John and sisters Donna and Deanie.
Georgia spent much of her career working as an operator, eventually moving on to ticket sales and post office work. Outside of work, she enjoyed spending time with loved ones, travelling, camping and garage saling. Friends and family remember her for loyalty, generosity, sense of humor and dedication to finding antiques.
A private funeral service will be held on April 25, 2026.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to heart and stroke foundation.
